Guidelines to Students-Rules and Regulations:

  •   Students should remain in their seat. The school hours are from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm.
  •   Students are expected to reach the school 10 minutes before the commencement of school hours.
  •   All students must bring the school diary daily. Students are expected to take all the examinations promptly.
  •   Mobile phones or any kind of forbidden electric equipment are strictly prohibited in the school. If students are found with any of the prohibited materials, it will be confiscated by any of the staff.
  •   It will not be returned to them and disciplinary actions will be taken against them. (as per government order (RT) No.318/10 dated 16-02-2012). Uploading of materials, posting any objectionable comments/photos on the internet based social media or social networking sites, which are detrimental to the students, staff and school, will lead to strict disciplinary action against the pupils concerned.
  •   The routine class lessons, instructions, test, exams, projects, assignments, practicals, lessons etc demand pupil’s interest and response without fail. Participation in or attendance on the co-curricular programmes (like school assembly, Arts and Sports fest, school day, food fest etc) is considered very important for the total and integral education of the students.
  •   The characteristics of a student of FPS should be enthusiasm, perseverance, active learning, friendliness, cheerfulness, self confidence, constant striving for excellence, respect towards teachers and observance of school regulations.
  •   After the first bell students are expected to be in perfect discipline inside the class. It is forbidden to write or scribble on walls or to dirty the class room or damage any class room materials.
  •   Fine will be imposed on defaulters. Students are advised to keep the classroom and the school premises very neat and clean.
  •   Inattentiveness, indifference towards any subject, discourtesy towards any member of the staff or any act which affects the discipline of the school will be viewed seriously and can lead to suspension as well as dismissal from the school. Pupils of one class are not allowed to be in any other class even during intervals.
  •   While walking on the corridor students should keep left and maintain queue
  •   Students should not drag their shoes and avoid skating or running. Sick room and its facility can be used only with the consent of the respective class teachers. Students are expected to keep their hair tidy, neat and well-combed. Boys must have their hair cut regularly.
  •   Avoid fancy hair styles, very low waist boot cut pants and designer shoes. Students must not run on the corridors or stairs or howl while moving Students must use the assigned dust bins so as to keep class room, campus and toilets neat and tidy A high standard of conduct and manners is expected from all students within and outside the school.
  •   The principal has the right to take actions in all the matters that affect the reputation of the school.
  •   Disorderly and discourteous conduct of any kind in a student will be considered as a school offence. All students must speak English in the campus and during transportation.
  •   Bullying, ragging, using nicknames to address fellow students will be strongly dealt with and necessary action will be taken. Any form of unwarranted behavior or indiscipline outside the school premises will result in strict action against the pupil/s.
  •   Students should come to school in proper uniform. Polish the shoes daily. Button your collar at all times. The ID card must be worn every day.
  •   If the student receives any badge from the school, it should be worn to school daily. Wearing of Gold/Silver ornaments is strictly forbidden.
  •   The school will not be responsible for the loss of such goods. Irregular attendance, habitual negligence in school work, dishonesty, obscenity in word or deed are sufficient reasons for disciplinary action. Students are expected to repeat the prayers and pledge which are meant to them.
  •   Switch off the lights and fans when not in use. Close the tap after use. Smart boards should be kept clean and handled with utmost care.
  •   Students must stand in attention during National Anthem. Students should not use whiteners on any circumstance. Students are advised to use the library effectively.

Library

A Library is the heart of the school. It is here that wisdom of eminent men is preserved in the form of books. Reading opens doors to the Universe and beyond; the younger a reader is , the more doors it can open.

Through reading variety of books, children learn about people, places and events outside of their own experience, Reading encourages a thirst for knowledge.It improves their vocabulary and they gain a greater understanding of the meaning of words.This enables a child to be more expressive when they speak and to use a broad range of words to share what they are thinking about.By consistently reading with your child everyday they will learn to concentrate for longer periods of time. It develops their imagination and creativity.

Parents are therefore requested to make everyday reading a high priority for your children.The school offers an excellent library facility with a collection of over ten thousand books on a wide series of genres ranging from fiction and non-fiction to encyclopedias.The students from kindergarten to class XII are required to spend sufficient hours every week in the library.The students can avail the library facilities during the free school hours and also during vacation.

Rules to be followed inside the Library.

  •   All students and staff of the school are members of the library.
  •   A student can borrow a book at a time for a period of one week.
  •   Books will be issued to the students during the library periods and lunch break.
  •   Marking, underlining or writing on library books, periodicals and newspapers is strictly forbidden.

  •   If the books are not returned within the specified time, it will be viewed seriously and fine will be charged as per rules.
  •   The librarian may call for a book at anytime, even if the normal period has not expired.
  •   In case of book is misused, wrongly handled or lost the person concerned will have to replace the book or pay the current market price of the book.
  •   After reading, make sure that the books, periodicals and newspapers are kept back at their respective places.
  •   The members should take good care of Library furnishings and equipments. Make sure the Library looks good when you leave, as it did when you came in.
  •   A ‘No Dues Certificate’ by each student is to be obtained from the librarian while his/her transfer/withdrawal from the school.
  •   Strict order and silence shall be maintained in the library and speak softly if needed.
  •   Failure to return books on due date would compulsorily lead to penalty of Rs.2/- per day for all students.
  •   All students should maintain a book review note during Library period.

Dance

Dance touches the lives of thousands of people every day. Indian dance uses every part of the body including the face and eyes. We focus on physical training and the mastery of the body. Our students train hard and perform widely. Dancing also increases cognitive acuity at all ages.

Martial Arts (Karate)

Martial arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practices, which are practiced for a variety of reasons: self-defense, competition, physical fitness and health entertainment, as well as mental, physical,and spiritual development. It is based on a concept of lifelong learning incorporating the basic life skills of respect, confidence, honesty,perseverance, self-discipline, self-awareness and self-esteem into each and every class.

Yoga

Yoga is the art and science of living and is concerned with the emotion of mind and body. ‘’Yoga is skill in action” states the bhagavad gita , the known of all Indian philosophical epics. In order to achieve this aim we must develop skill in all aspects of our life. This is also the key to good health and happiness in today’s world.
